Eagles To Be "Mindful" Of Getting D'Andre Swift Touches
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back D'Andre Swift had just two touches in his team debut against the New England Patriots in Week 1. Despite running back Rashaad Penny being a healthy scratch, Swift was non-existent on offense. He saw just 29% of the team snaps and had one carry for three yards while also catching one pass. On Tuesday, Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson spoke about the running back's small usage and said, "Fortunately for us, we have some excellent skill position players… it's up to us to just be mindful of that." With Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) not practicing yet this week and the short turnaround for Thursday's game, Swift could see more opportunities on offense against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.
