Eagles Not "Optimistic" DeVonta Smith Will Play On Sunday
10 hours agoAccording to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) "may work out on Sunday to see if he can go" against the Baltimore Ravens. However, Rapoport added that "there is not a lot of optimism that he'll be out there." The wideout wasn't available for the Week 12 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He also didn't practice on Wednesday and logged only limited sessions on Thursday and Friday, resulting in a questionable designation. Fantasy managers likely won't see the wideout back on the field in Week 13. If that turns out to be true, running back Saquon Barkley, receiver A.J. Brown, and tight end Dallas Goedert should see more attention from quarterback Jalen Hurts. Nobody outside of that trio can be trusted to fill the void caused by Smith's expected absence.
