Eagles In Best Position To Make Deshaun Watson Trade
3 years agoIn an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential landing spot for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. Schefter said that "the Eagles are more equipped to make a run at Deshaun Watson than any team out there." Watson -- who requested a trade from Houston this offseason -- is currently embroiled in lawsuits after 22 women accused him of sexual misconduct and it's far from a certainty that those issues will be sorted out this offseason. So while Schefter says "the Philadelphia Eagles should be waiting" for the end of the Watson saga, that doesn't mean any kind of deal is imminent or that anything will happen for the 2021 season. Fantasy managers should continue to draft with the belief that Watson won't play this season and that Tyrod Taylor is the Texans quarterback, while Jalen Hurts is the Eagles quarterback.
