Eagles Defense Records Seven Sacks, Forces Interception
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles defense yielded 14 points, generated seven sacks, and forced one interception during the team's 20-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The defense was not the reason Philadelphia lost this game, but rather an inept offense led by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew. They had little issue getting to quarterback Andy Dalton and held the Saints to one touchdown. They were put into awful situations due to the offense, yet they held the Saints to multiple field goals and had a decent fantasy performance because of it. Starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) could return next week after resuming throwing in practice this past week, and it would be a boost for not only the offense but the defense as well. For those playing for their fantasy football title in Week 18, Philadelphia remains a solid starting option against the New York Giants.
