4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dylan Moore had a big day against the Yankees Thursday, smacking a two-run home run and stealing his 14th base of the season. For the game, he went 1-for-2 with a walk. The home run was his eighth of the year. This is the third time this season in which Moore has homered and swiped a bag in the same game. That shows off the tantalizing potential Moore has, if only he could get on base a bit more often. His .180 batting average and .273 on-base percentage severely limit what would otherwise be an excellent fantasy profile.--Doug Goldring

9 months agoThe Seattle Mariners placed infielder/outfielder Dylan Moore on the paternity list on Monday and recalled infielder Leo Rivas from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. With Moore scratched from Monday's lineup against the Chicago White Sox, rookie Ryan Bliss will now get the start at second base and will hit ninth for the M's against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde. The 31-year-old Moore will now be away from the team for up to three games this week. In his place, Bliss or Rivas could see some more starts at the keystone in Seattle. Moore is a decent infield/outfield bench option in AL-only leagues for his modest power/speed combination. The former seventh-round pick by the Texas Rangers in 2015 out of Central Florida is batting .213/.325/.408 on the year with six home runs, 22 RBI, nine steals and 23 runs scored in 169 at-bats for Seattle.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

10 months agoSeattle Mariners utilityman Dylan Moore continued his solid month of May in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Yankees. Moore went 3-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, a two-run HR, and four RBI. Known mostly for his multi-position eligibility and speed, the 31-year-old has proven himself to be even more versatile in May, batting .293 with five HR and a stolen base. He bats in the bottom of the Mariners lineup but is rostered in just five percent of leagues and can slot into several positions, making him worth a look in deeper roto leagues for fantasy managers in search of a hot bat.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

10 months agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Dylan Moore went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and five RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Athletics. It was a bright spot in an otherwise rough season so far for Moore. Through Monday's game, the 31-year-old was hitting .192 with two home runs and six RBI, but over his last three games while filling in for the injured J.P. Crawford at shortstop, the right-handed hitter is 5-for-11 (.455) with one home run and six RBI. Hopefully he can keep it up over the next week or so until Crawford returns. Moore will get RHP Joey Estes (7.20 ERA, 1.40 WHIP in two career starts) and LHP Alex Wood (5.30 ERA, 1.74 WHIP) this weekend against the A's.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

12 months agoSeattle Mariners utilityman Dylan Moore pinch-hit and went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer in Thursday's loss versus the Boston Red Sox. Moore came on for Dominic Canzone in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the game within one run, but it would not be enough. Moore, 31, can play all over the field, but doesn't have an everyday role. 2023 was his first year in the big leagues that he didn't eclipse 10+ stolen bases and without those, his value is even more minimal. Despite the nice performance, he doesn't carry enough opportunity or offer enough outside of position versatility to be rostered in even the deepest of leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
