Dylan Frittelli Posts His Second Straight Top-35 Performance
7 years agoEven though the RBC Heritage and Valero Texas Open required contrastingly unique styles, Dylan Frittelli still managed to find a way to build off of his T32 at last weekend's RBC Heritage by finishing tied for 20th at the Valero Texas Open. In both tournaments, he finished five-under par and dominated off the tee. He was first in strokes gained off the tee last weekend and second in strokes gained off the tee in Texas. Frittelli finished tied for fifth in driving accuracy and 14th in driving distance. While a top-20 performance is nothing to sneeze at, Frittelli most definitely had another potential big showing slip through his grips by not being able to capitalize on his off-the-tee success. Frittelli lost negative-1.785 strokes around the green, which is a stat that is consistently causing him trouble. The 28-year-old from South Africa will hope for a more complete showing the next time he tees it up.
