Dylan Floro Throws Live BP, Scheduled For Sim Game Wednesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Dylan Floro (shoulder) threw a 16-pitch simulated game Sunday. He is scheduled to throw another simulated game at extended Spring Training on Wednesday. In late March, the 31-year-old dealt with arm soreness, then was diagnosed with right rotator cuff tendinitis. Floro is a few weeks away from returning from the injured list, and it remains to be seen if the right-hander will handle closing duties when he returns. Anthony Bender is Miami's primary closer, converting 2-of-3 save chances with a 5.40 ERA and 1:1 K: BB over 3 1/3 innings in 2022. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Floro in most league formats as he was initially projected as the favorite to open the year as the Marlins' closer.
