Dylan Floro Throws Bullpen Session On Thursday
3 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Dylan Floro (shoulder) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session at Miami's LoanDepot Park on Thursday. The 31-year-old began experiencing arm soreness in late March, then was diagnosed with right rotator cuff tendinitis. He's still probably at least a few weeks away from returning to the team as he still needs to face live batters and go on a rehab assignment in the minors. Floro was projected as the favorite to open the year as the Marlins' closer. For now, Anthony Bender appears to be the top candidate for saves on the team. He's the only reliever in the bullpen with a save thus far. Floro could take back closing duties when he returns, or we could see a committee type of situation.
