Dylan Floro Throws 23 Pitches During Rehab Assignment
3 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Dylan Floro (shoulder) threw 23 pitches in his rehab appearance with Low-A Jupiter on Saturday. The 31-year-old dealt with right rotator cuff tendinitis delaying his 2022 season debut. Barring any setbacks, Floro could return to action next week. It remains to be seen if the right-hander will handle closing duties once he returns. Anthony Bender is Miami's primary closer and has had a rough start to the year, converting 3-of-5 saves while posting an 8.31 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and a 3:2 K: BB across 4 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers should stash Floro in all leagues as he is expected to have a significant role in the bullpen once activated from the injured list.
