Dylan Crews Projected To Hit Second For Nationals
4 hours agoMLB.com's Jessica Camerato projects Washington Nationals outfield prospect Dylan Crews to hit second in the batting order in 2025, behind leadoff man and shortstop CJ Abrams. Crews, the second overall pick in 2023 out of LSU, has nothing left to prove in the minors. The 22-year-old made his major-league debut late in 2024 and went 26-for-119 (.218) with three home runs, eight RBI and 12 stolen bases in 31 games (132 plate appearances). Washington led all of baseball with 223 steals a year ago, so Crews should have plenty of chances to run in his first full big-league season, which gives him a nice fantasy floor heading into his first full year in D.C. Crews may not have the power that you desire from a top-40 outfielder, but he'll be an everyday player and is a good bet to steal 30 bases in 2025. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 37 fantasy outfielder.
