Dwyane Wade's Late-Game Heroics Not Enough Friday
7 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade hit a jumper to go up one with 20 seconds in overtime, but was unable to hit the game-winner in the final seconds of Friday night's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Wade was not very impressive on the stat sheet, scoring 16 points on 7-for-20 shooting with five rebounds in just 26 minutes. Wade's minutes have risen in every game since returning to Miami, which has diminished Wayne Ellington's minutes and fantasy value tremendously. It's also encouraging for Wade's value that Miami still trusts him to be the go-to scorer at the end of games. Without a maintenance program, expect Wade to suit up Saturday night when the Memphis Grizzlies come into town. Wade could see a favorable matchup, especially if Tyreke Evans (ribs) sits, but he may also be limited due to the nature of a back-to-back set.
