2 years agoHouston Astros owner Jim Crane spoke with manager Dusty Baker and general manager James Click on Monday and plans to formally extend each of them a contract for the 2023 season as the organization looks to win back-to-back World Series titles. Baker isn't a surprise coming off his first World Series title as a manager, and he'll be back to manage the club for his fourth season in 2023. Houston is expected to formally announce Baker's and Crane's return at a press conference on Wednesday. The 73-year-old Baker became the oldest skipper to win a World Series when the Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games last week.
