Dusty Baker, James Click To Be Extended
Houston Astros owner Jim Crane spoke with manager Dusty Baker and general manager James Click on Monday and plans to formally extend each of them a contract for the 2023 season as the organization looks to win back-to-back World Series titles. Baker isn't a surprise coming off his first World Series title as a manager, and he'll be back to manage the club for his fourth season in 2023. Houston is expected to formally announce Baker's and Crane's return at a press conference on Wednesday. The 73-year-old Baker became the oldest skipper to win a World Series when the Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games last week. Baker has led Houston to three American League Championship Series and two World Series in three seasons.Read More News
