Dustin Wolf Likely Starting Season In AHL
1 year agoCalgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf is likely to begin the 2023-24 season with the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL, according to GM Craig Conroy. Wolf had a tremendous season with the Wranglers last year, posting a 42-10-2 record with a .932 SV% and 2.09 GAA, prompting some to believe the Flames would bring him up as an insurance policy if start Jacob Markstrom got off to a rough start to the season. It doesn't seem like that will be the case, though, as both Markstrom and Dan Vladar would need to clear waivers and the Flames don't want to lose either. If there is underperformance or an injury, Wolf would be the next man up. He is worth keeping an eye on in redraft leagues and should be owned in all dynasty leagues.
