Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf is likely to begin the 2023-24 season with the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL, according to GM Craig Conroy. Wolf had a tremendous season with the Wranglers last year, posting a 42-10-2 record with a .932 SV% and 2.09 GAA, prompting some to believe the Flames would bring him up as an insurance policy if start Jacob Markstrom got off to a rough start to the season. It doesn't seem like that will be the case, though, as both Markstrom and Dan Vladar would need to clear waivers and the Flames don't want to lose either. If there is underperformance or an injury, Wolf would be the next man up. He is worth keeping an eye on in redraft leagues and should be owned in all dynasty leagues.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf stopped 16 of the 18 shots he saw en route to defeating the Minnesota Wild on Friday evening. He was not tested often in this game but was able to pick up the victory. The Flames dominated the shot total in this contest. Wolf carried a shutout into the third frame, but the Wild were able to score twice, both during 5-on-5 play. Over his last five contests, Wolf has held a 3-0-2 record with a solid 2.36 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Over this stretch, he has allowed two goals or fewer in three contests. Through 51 games this season, Wolf has enjoyed a strong rookie campaign and has kept Calgary in the Wild Card race. He has posted an overall 27-16-8 with a 2.63 GAA and a .909 save percentage.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf snapped his three-game losing skid on Thursday evening when he stopped 26 of the 27 shots he saw en route to defeating the Anaheim Ducks. Wolf held a high 2.99 GAA with a modest .878 save percentage during his three-game skid. In Thursday's game, his lone blemish came in the opening frame when Owen Zellweger scored his seventh goal of the season. After enjoying an impressive stretch through December and January, Wolf took a step back in February and March, holding a 2.97 GAA with a .894 save percentage with a 5-7-4 record over this stretch. However, as a rookie, Wolf has been very productive at times and could be turning the corner just in time for the stretch run. Fantasy managers should expect him to remain in the starter's crease for most of the remainder of the regular season.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf will take on Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. The impressive rookie will attempt to bounce back from two consecutive defeats. In his last outing, Wolf was defeated 4-2 by the Colorado Avalanche, and he also suffered a 4-3 shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks last week. Wolf has posted a record of 22-13-5 with three shutouts, while his goals-against average is at 2.54 and his save percentage at .914. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a good campaign but appears to be struggling at the moment and will not be a good fantasy option for Monday. Toronto has already lit up Wolf once in 2024-25, as the young netminder coughed up five goals on 29 shots in a 6-3 loss on Feb. 4.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf will be between the sticks for Friday's tough matchup against the Colorado Avalanche. He will make his 40th start of the campaign as the Flames welcome the NHL's sixth-highest scoring team to town. After winning only one decision in February, Wolf has returned to form this month, posting a 2-0-2 record with 1.93 goals-against average, a .933 save percentage, and one shutout. The rookie netminder boasts three shutouts for the season and has impressed with a 22-12-5 record. Wolf has given up 2.53 goals in 2024-25 with a .915 save percentage. Colorado's talented offense will present a major challenge for Wolf on Friday night, but he can draw confidence from his 15-6-3 home record.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
