5 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee), who is not considering another surgery, said he's unsure if he'll be able to play again. "I'm at a point right now where I need some time. That's what my status is," Pedroia said. The veteran second baseman has been shut down on his rehab assignment with Double-A Portland after another setback on Friday. He's managed to play in only nine games the last two seasons, and it's fair to wonder if Pedroia will ever play in the majors again at this point. Even if he makes it back, he'll be a bench option for the BoSox, at best.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
