Dustin May, Blake Treinen To Face Hitters Wednesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts said that starting pitcher Dustin May (back) and reliever Blake Treinen (shoulder) will face live hitters on Wednesday. May isn't a lock for the National League Division Series roster, even if he shows he's healthy this coming week. Treinen is a possibility to be ready in time for the NLDS next week. May went on the injured list on Sept. 24 with lower-back tightness, but it's good news that he's making progress, so he could be an option for the rotation if the Dodgers advance to the Championship Series. The 34-year-old Treinen returned to mound work over the weekend and appears to be ahead of May in his rehab. He could be a big addition to the Dodgers bullpen for the start of the NLDS.
