Dustin Hopkins Plays Through Injury, Seals Victory In Overtime
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers kicker Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) drilled all four of his field goal attempts and his lone extra point try in a 19-16 overtime victory over the Denver Broncos. Hopkins entered Monday night with no injury designation but strained his hamstring during the game. He exited briefly but became the team's hero when he returned and ultimately kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime. Hopkins stated after the game that he "felt a pop" in his leg while kicking an extra point in the second quarter. His status for Week 7 will be worth monitoring, but if he is able to suit up against the Seattle Seahawks, he will project as a solid fantasy option.
