Drew VerHagen To Have Season-Ending Hip Surgery
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-hander Drew VerHagen (hip) will have season-ending hip surgery shortly, according to a team official. VerHagen injured his hip in April and won't make it back for the rest of the 2022 season. The 31-year-old had signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal with St. Louis in free agency. He'll end the season with just 21 2/3 innings under his belt in 19 relief outings, posting a 6.65 ERA, 1.89 WHIP, 18 strikeouts and 14 walks for the Red Birds. VerHagen wasn't on the fantasy radar to begin with.
