Drew Thorpe Tosses Six Innings With Seven Strikeouts In Latest Gem
5 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Drew Thorpe tossed six innings of one-run ball with three hits, one walk, and seven punchouts in his latest stellar outing of the season. Thorpe's one misstep came off a lead-off home run by James Triantos. In his last four starts the 23-year-old is riding a 0.76 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, with a 6:23 BB:K ratio. Overall on the season, through 60 innings at Double-A, the southpaw has posted an incredible 1.35 ERA and 0.87 WHIP and has only allowed more than one run in a start twice. Thorpe is growing into a popular stash candidate in redraft leagues, as he should be on his way to Triple-A Charlotte very soon. He should be rostered in all keeper and dynasty leagues and could make his major league debut sometime after the All-Star Break.
