Drew Steckenrider Notches First Save
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider notched his first save of the season on Friday against the Minnesota Twins. Paul Sewald came in and pitched the eighth inning before handing the ball over to Steckenrider. Sewald retired all the batters he faced before exiting the game. Steckenrider made things interesting by allowing a leadoff single, however he managed to protect the one-run lead and help the Mariners get the victory. It sounds like Steckenrider will be a valuable member of the Mariners bullpen this season.
