Drew Romo Dealing With Finger Injury
2 days agoColorado Rockies catching prospect Drew Romo (finger) is dealing with a finger injury. Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reported that the 23-year-old suffered this injury while sliding into a base during a minor league contest last week. Romo was left off the Opening Day Triple-A roster as a result. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he may not be sidelined for long. He entered camp as a favorite to make the MLB roster but eventually lost his spot to Hunter Goodman. In camp, Romo posted an underwhelming .118/.211/.176 slash line with just one extra-base hit and a 1:4 BB:K. Last summer, Romo made his MLB debut and tallied nine hits with three doubles across his first 16 games. He should contend for an early return to the big leagues if he performs well at Triple-A.
