Drew Rasmussen Tosses Season-Long Five Innings Tuesday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out one across five innings during Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. He did not factor into the decision. The 26-year-old struck out one batter and exited after just 58 pitches. Rasmussen is expected to remain in the rotation and continues to be stretched out. Five innings, one run -- anybody's going to sign up for that," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "Just another good outing." The Rays right-hander owns a 3.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts over 52 innings in 2021. Rasmussen is tentatively scheduled to face the Boston Red Sox at home on Monday.
