Drew Pomeranz Being Evaluated For Forearm Tightness
3 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Drew Pomeranz (forearm) was removed from the eighth inning of Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins. He faced three batters in the inning, retiring two and giving up a hit, before being pulled. After the game, Padres manager Jayce Tingler said that Pomeranz was being evaluated for left forearm tightness. Pomeranz missed time earlier this year with the same injury so the team will likely be very cautious with him. There's a good chance another stint on the injured list is ahead for him. Pomeranz has been great when healthy this year. Over 27 appearances, he has a 1.75 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and 13 holds.
