4 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (ribs, lung) was placed on injured reserve on Friday. The team initially expected a two-to-three week absence, though it's likely that Brees will now miss the next three contests at minimum. Reports suggest that Taysom Hill will get the keys to the offense, but head coach Sean Payton has yet to announce a starting quarterback. If Hill indeed starts and is unimpressive, Jameis Winston could be thrust into the starting role. Keep in mind that Brees hasn't been ruled out for the season either- so we could see the future Hall of Famer back out on the field at some point.--Tim Capurso
