Drew Brees Madden Rating Causes A Stir Among NFL Players
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was recently given a 92 overall rating for Madden 20. This rating puts Brees under Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers with his ranking of 95. Some of the NFL players that spoke out on the issue via Twitter were New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Tyrann Mathieu and Miami Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan. Thomas mentioned that Brees doesn't play video games and is a 99 in real life. The others simply voiced their concern for his place among the other NFL quarterbacks. Brees hit a bit of a rough patch in 2017. His highest scoring game in PPR leagues that season was 22.60 fantasy points against the Washington Redskins. Brees bounced back in 2018 with multiple games, scoring higher than 30 fantasy points. The veteran quarterback is gearing up for his 14th season in New Orleans, and with the weapons surrounding him, he surely isn't worried about what a video game is saying.
