Drew Anderson Throws Three Scoreless Innings
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitcher Drew Anderson struck out six across three scoreless innings against the Yankees on Thursday. The 24-year-old was near perfect, allowing a lone hit to Miguel Andujar in the top of the fourth while keeping his spring ERA at a tidy 1.59. Anderson likely won’t figure in the rotation anytime soon, but his growing strikeout numbers make him a name to watch throughout the year. He's also an interesting bullpen piece for the Phillies despite allowing seven earned runs across 12 2/3 relief innings last year.
