Drake London Ready For Second-Year Breakout?
1 year agoESPN's Dan Graziano thinks Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is ready for a second-year breakout in 2023. He was the first receiver selected in the 2022 draft and caught 72 of his 117 targets (tied for 25th in the league) for 866 yards as a rookie in the run-heaviest offense in the NFL (51.1 percent of the offensive plays) with Marcus Mariota at quarterback for most of the year. Atlanta added first-round running back Bijan Robinson this year, but London was a favorite target of quarterback Desmond Ridder when Ridder took over the starting job in 2022. Graziano gets the sense that the Falcons don't want to be the run-heaviest team in the NFL again. If Ridder is a viable starter this year, London should become a superstar. The 22-year-old is a fine WR2 target in fantasy drafts this weekend.
