Drake Batherson Will Miss Significant Time With Injury
3 years agoOttawa Senators forward Drake Batherson (ankle) is set to miss a minimum of two months as a result of the high ankle sprain that he sustained on a hit from Sabres goalie Aaron Dell on Tuesday night. Batherson collided with the goaltender as he was rounding the net and crashed into the end boards with force. "You're looking at a couple months, for sure. Maybe longer," said Senators coach D.J. Smith. Batherson was enjoying the best season of his young career, as he totaled 13 goals and 21 assists for a team-high 34 points through 31 games, while he was set to take part in his first NHL All-Star Game. Fantasy managers should place the young forward onto the injured reserve spot as a two month timeline would mean that the 23-year-old can potentially make it back for the fantasy playoff rounds.
