Doug McDermott Agrees To Deal With Indiana
6 years agoDallas Mavericks forward Doug McDermott has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers. McDermott, who will be entering his fifth season in the NBA and will be playing on his fifth team, averaged 7.8 points on 42.6 percent shooting from three last season with the Knicks and the Mavericks. During his 26 game tenure with Dallas, McDermott saw those numbers increase to 9.0 points per game and 49.4 percent shooting from distance, a sign that former Creighton star might finally be putting things together in the NBA. We'll find out if that 26 game sample is a sign of things to come or a just a fluke with McDermott in Indiana, where he'll be a key bench piece for last year's fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. He's got decent fantasy upside and should be available at a low enough cost that busting won't hurt fantasy owners too much.
