Doug Marrone, Dave Caldwell Have Chance To Stick Around
5 years agoThere is a "good chance" that both Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone and general manager Dave Caldwell return in 2020 following the firing of executive vice president Tom Coughlin, according to sources. Heading into Week 16, Jacksonville sits in last place in the AFC South with a 5-9 record. Free-agent signing Nick Foles broke his collarbone in the season opener and was benched upon his return. The Jaguars were also forced to trade their top cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, midseason. After an AFC Championship appearance in 2017, the Jaguars have won just 10 games combined the last two seasons, and their elite defense from two years ago is now an Achilles heel. Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew and second-year breakout receiver D.J. Chark have been two of just a few highlights in 2019.
