Doug Baldwin's Playing Future In Question
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, 30, might not be able to continue his career due to multiple injuries, according to sources. There is a real chance that he has played his last down in the NFL. Baldwin is expected to be out six to eight weeks after having hernia surgery last month, and the aging and injured wideout also had two other surgeries after the end of last season. His injuries caught up with him in 2018, as he caught just 50 passes for 618 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games. He hasn't had a 1,000-yard season since 2016 and has fallen quite a bit since then. It makes more sense as to why Seattle traded up to take D.K. Metcalf with the final pick in the second round on Friday night. If Baldwin is forced to call it quits, Metcalf's fantasy appeal will go up considerably in his rookie season.
