D'Onta Foreman Solid In Expanded Workload
1 year agoChicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman had a notable performance in the team's 24-17 loss to the Saints, where he recorded a season-high 20 carries for 83 rushing yards. Unfortunately, the veteran back didn't receive any passing targets and couldn't find the end zone, which significantly impacted his fantasy production. Foreman accounted for nearly all of the rushing attempts by running backs in this game, showcasing an efficient 4.15 yards per carry. Khalil Herbert, who has been nursing an ankle injury, is eligible to return from the injured reserve next week and might make his debut on Thursday Night Football. The upcoming matchup is enticing, as the Panthers have surrendered the second-most points per game to running backs this season. Should Herbert make his return, Foreman is likely to see a notable decrease in workload. Nonetheless, he could still serve as a reliable replacement option if Herbert remains sidelined, particularly against a weaker run defense.
