1 year agoChicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman seized his opportunity in Week 7, amassing over 100 scrimmage yards and scoring three total touchdowns. However, his Week 8 performance saw a significant decline in overall volume due to the return of teammate Roschon Johnson from a concussion. After two games with 15 or more touches, Foreman's workload was reduced to just nine carries for 34 yards and one catch for two yards. Darrynton Evans also saw an increase in involvement, and the game script didn't favor Foreman's performance, as the Bears had limited rushing opportunities. Despite Khalil Herbert (ankle) remaining on IR, the Bears' backfield is currently shrouded in uncertainty, with Foreman, Johnson, and Evans all sharing the workload. Looking ahead to Week 9, the Bears will face the Saints, a team that has allowed the fifth-fewest points to running backs.
