Don't Overlook Josh Berry At Richmond On Sunday Night
3 months agoJosh Berry is a driver that typically isn't thought of as a legitimate race-winning contender, but we could see him challenge for the lead in Sunday night's Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver had one of the best races of his season here earlier this year despite starting back in 30th, and this weekend the No. 4 Ford is going to roll off the starting grid from third when the green flag waves. The short, flat tracks have been where Berry has excelled at quite a bit this season, as his average running position of 11.45 is tied with Denny Hamlin for ninth-best in the series over the four races at Richmond, New Hampshire, Phoenix, and Iowa in 2024. If Berry is going to play spoiler in the playoff picture, this is likely his only remaining chance outside of crapshoot Daytona.
