4 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano is getting the day off on Thursday as the team faces the Colorado Rockies. Wilmer Flores is getting the start at second in the game. Solano is currently sixth in the majors in batting average, hitting a stellar .335. He's riding a four-game hitting streak and is slashing .353/.389/.500 throughout September. Solano doesn't offer much in terms of power. He has just three home runs this season. However, his contact hitting appears to be something worth legitimately buying into. He hit .330 over 81 games in the majors last year, so 2020 has mostly been a continuation of where he left off.
