Donovan Mitchell Won't Play On Sunday
8 months agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (knee) won't play on Sunday afternoon versus the Los Angeles Clippers. The multi-time All-Star was on the floor for Saturday's loss to the Lakers, logging a game-high 38 minutes and finishing with 10 points, seven assists, and three steals. But with the Cavs playing their second of back-to-back contests on Sunday, Mitchell will take a breather before presumably returning for Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Without Mitchell in the lineup, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus should benefit. Caris LeVert could also enter the starting lineup, with the 29-year-old averaging 16.0 points, 7.6 assists, 5.3 boards, and 1.3 steals in nine starts during the 2023-24 campaign.
