Donovan Mitchell Scores Game-High 28 Points On Friday
1 year agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell finished with a game-high 28 points in Friday's loss to the Indiana Pacers. He added four assists and two steals. The 27-year-old looked good in the preseason finale, going 11-for-21 from the field and 3-for-7 from deep while accounting for 19 of Cleveland's 29 points in the third quarter. Of course, performances like this have been routine for Mitchell through the years, who averaged a career-high 28.3 points last season. However, he hasn't played more than 69 games in any of the previous four seasons, so fantasy managers will likely be without him at times during the 2023-24 campaign. Still, Mitchell is at least a top-20 fantasy option, with the potential to enter the MVP conversation at some point moving forward. He's a must-start in all formats when the Cavs begin the year on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets.
