Dominic Fletcher Traded To The White Sox
10 months agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks have traded outfielder Dominic Fletcher to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for right-handed pitching prospect Cristian Mena. The White Sox were lacking depth in their outfield the D-Backs didn't have room for Fletcher so this move makes sense. The 26-year-old outfielder flashed some good things last season in Arizona, slashing .301/.350/.441 with a pair of home runs and 14 RBI over 93 at-bats. He fractured his left index finger in September, which prematurely ended his season. He should compete for the starting right field job during spring training. Fletcher is a solid player in real life but this move lacks fantasy impact. Mena put up a 4.85 ERA and 1.414 WHIP between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte over 27 starts last season but is still just 21 years old and has some room to grow.
