Domingo Santana Ends Hitless Drought With Home Run
6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Domingo Santana broke an 0-for-13 slide with a two-run homer off of Yankees starter CC Sabathia Monday night. He finished the game going 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, as he's hoping to bounce back from a dreadful two-week stretch. After producing an excellent .341 average through his first 20 games, he's seen this number plummet to a .269 mark, although he does have seven big flies and 32 RBI on the season. Santana's high tendency to strike out limits his ability to hit for average, but the 26-year-old should continue to have a productive season power-wise.
