Domingo German Whiffs Five In No-Decision
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German put together a so-so outing in his first start of the second half against the Philadelphia Phillies. German kept the Phillies off the scoreboard for the most part, surrendering two runs on three hits while walking three batters. The righty struck out five while generating 10 whiffs on 70 pitches. Manager Aaron Boone acknowledged that German isn't fully stretched out yet, as he was pulled after 70 pitches, with seemingly more left in the tank. German hasn't been a reliable fantasy starter lately, allowing 29 earned runs over his last 36 innings pitched since the start of June.
