Domingo German Tosses Five Scoreless Innings Out Of Bullpen
1 year agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German (arm) pitched five scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Rays. German was initially scratched from starting the game due to discomfort in his right armpit. However, he came into the game in the fifth inning and finished it out, allowing two hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The 30-year-old has been inconsistent this season and now has a 4.56 ERA and 9.44 K/9 in 108 2/3 innings. Assuming he makes his next appearance as a starter, he would line up for a tough matchup against the Astros. Fantasy managers may want to consider avoiding him in that start if he were to start.
