Domingo German Stumbles In 15th Victory
5 years agoWhile he improved his record on the season to a remarkable 15-2, New York Yankees starter Domingo German didn't have a good game Thursday night in Toronto. The 27-year-old tossed four shutout innings to begin, but ran into major trouble in the fifth, surrendering three extra-base hits and four runs, one unearned. It would be his final inning of work, with Chad Green taking over in the sixth. Regardless, his offense had stormed out in front and the Dominican native was well on his way to a win. Alongside his 15-2 record, German's ERA stands at 4.05, a telling sign of just how important run support has been for him.
