Domingo German Records Fourth Loss
6 years agoSeeking a sweep of the doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, the New York Yankees sent out Domingo German, who was seeking his first victory of the year. The 25-year-old certainly didn’t pitch bad, but he wasn’t great either. German tossed 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks. He also struck out three in the 95-pitch performance, which was affected by him pitching the seventh. Through six, he’d held the Tigers to three runs, completing a quality start. In the seventh, however, he surrendered one more run, a decisive blow. Regardless, the Yankees only mustered two home runs, losing 4-2.
