Dolphins Trading For Matt Breida
5 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are trading their fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft for San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida, according to a source. With just Jordan Howard and Kalen Ballage in Miami's backfield, the Dolphins were expected to draft a running back in the early rounds, but that didn't happen. Instead, they're trading for Breida, who was buried in San Fran's crowded backfield. As a result, he barely played during the team's Super Bowl run in 2019. Breida seems to constantly be playing through injuries, but he has run for 5.0 yards per carry in his three seasons and will immediately upgrade Miami's running game alongside Howard behind an offensive line that is being upgraded through the draft.
