Dolphins Sign Samaje Perine
5 years agoThe Miami Dolphins signed running back Samaje Perine off the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad on Monday, according to a source. A former starter with the Redskins, Perine will join Miami this week and will be part of the team in 2020. Rookie Myles Gaskin (ankle) will miss Week 17, so Perine could chip in alongside Patrick Laird and De'Lance Turner for the regular season finale against the Patriots. Perine had 175 carries for 603 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season with Washington, but he's played in just 11 games in the last two years with the 'Skins and Bengals. Miami's backfield should be avoided if you're still playing for a fantasy championship in Week 17. New England's defense is one of the best all-around units in the NFL.
