Dodgers Sign Ryan Brasier To Minor-League Deal
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers signed free-agent right-hander Ryan Brasier to a minor-league deal on Monday. Brasier was released by the Boston Red Sox on May 21 after he allowed 18 runs (17 earned) on 24 hits (two home runs) while walking nine and striking out 18 in 21 relief innings for the team in 2023. The 35-year-old veteran reliever will likely report to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he'll provide relief depth for the organization. In his seven-year major-league career, Brasier has a 4.45 ERA (3.81 FIP), 1.25 WHIP, nine saves and 23.8 percent strikeout rate in 218 2/3 innings pitched over 229 appearances (one start). He recorded seven of his nine career saves in 2019 with Boston.
