Dodgers Exploring Alternative Right-Handed Batters
44 mins agoAccording to Ken Rosenthal of Athletic, the Los Angeles Dodgers are exploring other right-handed bats while negotiations with free agent Teoscar Hernandez remain at a standstill. Rosenthal mentioned that
free agent infielder Ha-Seong Kim, and outfielders Seiya Suzuki and Luis Robert Jr. have been linked to Los Angeles. While Hernandez has expressed interest in returning to Los Angeles in 2025, these options could be further pursed if they cannot agree to a contract. If the Dodgers were to acquire Kim, he would likely cover the keystone as Mookie Betts is expected to play shortstop in 2025 which would move Tommy Edman to center field. Both Suzuki and Robert would have to be acquired via trade and would cost several prospects. After acquiring Kyle Tucker, Suzuki is now expected to operate as the everyday DH and has expressed disinterest in that role. This may open up the possibility for a trade. Robert has battled numerous injuries throughout his career but has flashed high upside when on the field.
