Dodgers and Padres Interested in Mike Clevinger
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are two teams reportedly interested in Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger. Clevinger was limited by injuries in 2019, but he was excellent whenever he was on the mound, pitching in 21 games and posting a 2.71 ERA with 169 strikeouts in 126 innings. He has the upside to be one of the better starters in the game, but various injuries have kept him from that ceiling so far. Still, because of his potential, Cleveland's asking price is reportedly "crazy high" making a deal far less than a sure thing. With Cleveland seemingly ready to gut their roster and embrace a rebuild, however, no one on the roster seems safe.
