Dodgers Activate Daniel Hudson From Injured List
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated relief pitcher Daniel Hudson (knee) from the 60-day injured list on Friday. In corresponding moves, the Dodgers optioned right-hander Nick Robertson to Triple-A Oklahoma City and designated right-hander Ricky Venasco for assignment. Hudson will be making his season debut when he gets into a game. The 36-year-old right-handed veteran missed the first three months of the season after tearing his ACL a year ago. Expect the Dodgers to ease Hudson back into the fold, but before long, he should be tasked with a high-leverage role as at least a setup arm in line for holds and the occasional save chance. In his 13-year MLB career, Hudson has 32 saves, a 3.81 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 22.6% strikeout rate.
