DJ Moore Low-Ceiling In Week 8
1 year agoChicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore is coming off a solid showing, despite catching passes from his undrafted rookie quarterback, Tyson Bagent. The star receiver finished with eight catches on nine targets for 54 yards and no touchdowns. With Justin Fields (hand) doubtful for Sunday, there isn't the same big-game ceiling as we saw in Weeks 4 and 5. However, Moore is still a very solid play, especially in PPR formats, thanks to his large target share. The Chargers allow the most points per game to receivers, and Moore is the clear go-to target in this offense. Even with a backup undrafted rookie at quarterback, the former Panther has a low ceiling but a relatively high floor for Week 8. If the Bears can exploit the Chargers' weak defense, Moore should see significant opportunities, and considering his recent performance and target volume, he presents a valuable option for fantasy football managers, with the potential for a steady output even with a less-experienced quarterback under center.
