DJ LeMahieu To Undergo An MRI On Tuesday
29 seconds agoNew York Yankees third baseman DJ LeMahieu (calf) is set to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. LeMahieu sustained this calf injury during Saturday's Grapefruit League contest. Over the weekend, LeMahieu said that he will likely be out for "a little bit." Fantasy managers should monitor his status after the MRI as it will likely provide clarity on his status. Currently, LeMahieu is slated to be the team's primary third baseman. Last season, the 36-year-old posted a .204/.265/.259 slash line across 67 contests. He only went deep twice but showed a strong eye at the plate as he struck out at a strong 15.4 percent rate. During the 2023 season, LeMahieu held a .243/.327/.390 line across 136 contests. If LeMahieu were to miss time early in the season, Oswaldo Cabrera or Oswald Peraza would be candidates to move up the depth chart.
